1. Professor Jon Hindmarsh

Professor of Work and Interaction

work and organization studies; interaction and communication; technology; sociomateriality; ethnomethodology and conversation analysis.

2. Professor Dirk vom Lehn

3. Professor Ian Kessler

Professor of Public Policy and Management

He has been involved in various research projects, funded by such bodies as the ESRC, the National Institute of Health Research and the European Union. These projects have explored employee voice, dimensions of pay and reward, and different aspects of employment relations in the British public services.

Over the last decade he has been researching nurse support roles in a variety of health care settings, and the general re-structuring of the nursing workforce.

4. Dr Stephen Pratten

Reader in Economics and Philosophy

Stephen Pratten’s primary research area is the methodology of economics, focussing particularly on issues related to social ontology and realist theorising. He has also been involved in a series of empirical projects examining structural and regulatory change in the media industries.

5. Dr Sotiris Vandoros

Reader in Health Economics

His fields of interest include health economics and behavioural science. In particular, his research focuses on the impact of economic conditions, shocks and uncertainty on health and health-related behaviours, and on regulation and competition in pharmaceutical markets, studying topics such as the generics paradox and therapeutic substitution.
