3.Gender and political representation.

4.Religious extremism and social mobilisation in the Middle East.

在Politics, Philosophy and Economics

Research Group 主要是研究如何结合这三个领域解决当代社会的各种问题。

项目设置

所有入学的学生都是先注册为MPhil students, 进行大约12个月的学习后，通过考试准备progress to PhD programme.
如果只进行MPhil的学习，学制1-2年。

录取要求及时间点

硕士学位 Merit及以上，以及毕业论文65+。

学费：每年£20,820
Funding:针对国际生的funding 是limited, 中国学生可以申请King’s-China Scholarship Council PhD Scholarship programme (K-CSC). CSC 为2021/22 入学的学生offer 100个名额给在KCL读Mphil/PhD的学生。

01 Professor Paul Lewis

Professor of Political Economy.

研究方向：

the political economy of vocational education and training; the Austrian school of economics; the history of economic thought; social ontology; and the methodology of economics.

02 Professor Shaun Hargreaves Heap

Professor of Political Economy.

研究方向：

Shaun’s current research using laboratory experiments is on the social influences (e.g. the role of group membership and the influence of peers) on individual decision making. He has also used online survey experiments to examine people’s post COVID-19 policy preferences.

03 Dr John Meadowcroft

Reader in Public Policy.

研究方向：

John’s current research focuses on political activism (in particular, how political parties and groups overcome the collective action problem and how this influences their organisation and strategy), on public choice and constitutional political economy (in particular, the work of James M. Buchanan) and public policy (in particular, the ethical challenges of healthcare provision in an advanced democracy).

04 Dr Tomas Maltby

Senior Lecturer in International Politics.

研究方向：

Tomas’ research focuses primarily on the development of climate and energy policy. This includes work related to agenda-setting, policy making, the drivers of and obstacles to energy transitions, climate scepticism/denial and related research on the politics of air pollution.

05 Dr Sanchari Roy

Senior Lecturer in Development Economics.

研究方向：

Development economics

Effective public service delivery in developing countries

Psychological constraints in perpetuating poverty
