简介I'm a former journalist and current public policy analyst with 16 years of top writing and editing experience. I've done academic writing, news, features, narrative non-fiction, and public policy white papers. I've also been an international student in the United States, so I know what the undergraduate and graduate application process is like. It's not as scary as it might seem!

自我介绍I'm originally from Zambia (where English is the official language), and have been in United States for 18 years.
I spent five years covering international affairs for a national weekly news magazine before doing graduate studies in public policy and working as a labor and education analyst for a state-level think tank in Pennsylvania. Whether it's academic writing, news, features, narrative non-fiction, or public policy white papers, I've done all kinds of writing and research.
I know what it's like to go through the US college application process as an international student--I did it twice, once for my bachelors degree in 1998, and again for my masters in 2009. I'm delighted to help you further your studies too!

However, a closer look at how unions run their own organization reveals a stunning lack of accountability by union leadership toward union members. For example, in Pennsylvania, fewer than 1 percent of public school teachers voted for the union representing them.
Opening the Curtain on Government Unions

Commonwealth Foundation for Public Policy AlternativesCollective bargaining is the process by which labor unions negotiate pay, benefits, and working conditions with government agencies. Because such labor contracts involve billions of taxpayer dollars, citizens have a right to know what each side is proposing before being legally obligated to fund them. In addition, Pennsylvania should require state labor unions representing government workers to file annual financial reports demonstrating how union dues are spent.
Together, such transparency reforms would make government more accountable to taxpayers, and unions more accountable to their members, while better controlling government spending.
