Edward C. Maraist

My name is Ed Maraist. I graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelors in Economics and from the University of Maryland with a Masters in Management. In addition to flying helicopters, propeller planes and jets, I've also had over ten years experience, including six years in the Pentagon, editing and proofreading the professional work of others. As a senior leader, I also had the opportunity to advise hundreds of subordinates on their advanced education goals and aspirations.I am currently a pilot for United Airlines and look forward to helping you further your education.

I have three children, two boys and a girl in the middle.  My oldest recently graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and is working in the Washington, DC area.  My daughter is a senior English major at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia and my youngest is a sophomore at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio.

As if that's not enough experience with college applications, I also have three step-children.  The oldest is now a freshman at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennslyvania.
