院校简介西澳大学（英语: University of Western Australia）1911年创校，位于澳大利亚西澳大利亚州的首府珀斯，在澳洲被归为6所砂岩学府（Sandstone universities）之一。西澳大学自创校以来，一直是澳洲的最具历史，代表性和实力的顶尖研究型学府之一，在众多权威的澳洲大学排名中名列前茅。同时也是澳大利亚最享有盛誉的澳洲八大名校（Group of Eight）的联盟成员之一。它在各个领域中对西澳大利亚州和国家发展与繁荣皆有巨大贡献。最新的2012年度，QS世界大学排名将西澳大学列为全球排名第79名。在2007年，西澳大学全球排名为64。2008年学生总数有17,436人，研究生人数达4,199。西澳大学早期位于珀斯的商业中心区，1930年代迁往现时南区卞罗尼（Crawley）的校址。2007年度，西澳大学的研究经费排名澳洲第七，达澳币$13,215,813，而在学习及教学表现基金（Learning and Teaching Performance Fund）方面则有澳币$4,226,105。
历史沿革
The University of Western Australia (UWA) was established in 1911 as the State's first university. It was also the first free university in the British Empire, actively promoting equal access to tertiary education for all social classes.
In 2013 UWA celebrates its centenary, reflecting on its beginnings in 1913 when it opened its doors to 184 students.
Today UWA has a student body of over 23,000 students from all corners of the globe.

Encouraging young sports people is a focus for the University.
UWA Sports is a hub of extracurricular activity through the Recreate® programs. These courses include over 40 different active fitness, sport, dance, outdoor, lifestyle and aquatic programmes.
Each year, students are also encouraged to participate in the annual Australian University Games, which is an opportunity to play sport against other universities.

The Housing Office at UWA offers support and information on housing options to help students decide where to live while at university.
There are five residential colleges affiliated with or owned by UWA, providing a home for more than 1,000 students.
The University owns a number of unfurnished properties close to Crawley campus.
There is also a choice of privately owned off-campus, shared, rented, and full-board accommodation.
The Housing Office can also advise on temporary accommodation for when international students first arrive in Perth.
