自我介绍What if I told you that being the smartest, most accomplished student wasn’t enough to get you accepted into the school of your dreams? What if I told you that applicants with lower GPAs are often accepted over those with higher GPAs? What if I told you that thousands of qualified students with the best test scores, the best professional and research backgrounds, even publication in the best journals, are routinely rejected from top and mid-level institutions of higher learning every year?

Imagine that you’re the program director at a top-tier graduate program offering cutting-edge professional training in Engineering and Computer Science in the U.S. or UK. You have the resources to accommodate 200 students for the in-coming class. You receive 1200 applications, 600 of those students are fully qualified for admission into the program. Still, you find a way to choose the top 400 candidates. These 400 students are the best of the best. Their test scores, GPAs, research experience, and accomplishments are so impressive it’s downright staggering. It seems a crime to deny half of these students admission, yet that’s exactly what you must do. Now your job is to create a diverse class of 200 students representing various backgrounds, areas of expertise, and potential for success. You want to choose the future leaders among this group, the ones who demonstrate qualities of leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and resilience. I assure you that 99.9% of their applications will claim to possess these qualities. 90% of these students will even talk about the many nights they’ve stayed up finishing projects, sacrificing sleep and a social life in service to this singular aim of excellence.
Over the years, I have read thousands of essays and I often see the same mistakes being made over and over again. I’ve worked with clients who are the top of their class as undergrads, who are creative, innovative thinkers – and yet, judging by their application essays, they are no different from every other student. I’ve also worked with students who go out of their way to translate their CVs and transcripts into prose form, emphasize along the way how hard they work, how much sleep they’ve lost, and how they’ve led teams.
Now imagine again that you’re the program director or admissions committee member reading 100 essays in an hour. Which ones will you remember at the end of that hour? I’ve worked with admissions offices at several top institutions across New York, New Jersey, and California, and I continue to hear the same feedback from committee members.
My job, as your advisor, is to help you identify the qualities, experiences, and traits that will make you stand out from the rest. In Western countries, the approach to admissions is very holistic. Admissions officers are looking for clues as to who is the most resilient, the most innovative, the most collaborative, the most inspiring. Furthermore, I will use my experience as a dramatist and award-winning essayist to help you create the most compelling and persuasive piece of writing.

I graduated from my undergraduate program entirely debt-free, having utilized my writing skills to receive many highly sought-after scholarships. I've earned a graduate degree from a top program in NY. I have several projects in New York and the UK. I am the writer and associate producer on film project currently in pre-production.
