I was born in Denmark and traveled around in my childhood to too many places to list off here (Greece was my favorite). I understood from a young age that I wanted to be a scientist, at first because I liked dinosaurs, and then later because I was fascinated by evolution and the story of Earth's history--though I still like dinosaurs.
Eventually I settled in America and attended a magnet school, the Maine School of Science and Mathematics, for the last 3 years of grade school, and then studied Geology at Stony Brook University in New York; though I took many biology courses there as well, and also received a Creative Writing minor. I then came to Scotland to study Paleontology, and in particular received my Master's in Science by Research by using a statistical method to analyze the skull shape of a sample of theropod dinosaurs and compare their morphological evolution to their body size evolution.
I am now applying for PhD programs in the same field, hoping to continue studying evolution. In addition to writing many of my own applications, I've been informally helping many of my peers with their own applications and formal writing since grade school. Through ZHISHIQ I can now help others improve their applications as I continue to work on my own.
