Hi! I am a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at the City University of New York in the United States, and I received my college degree from National Taiwan University in Taipei. I am bilingual in Chinese and English, and I have five years of private tutoring experience. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to write essays in a foreign language, and I am looking forward to helping you improve!
I was born in a small city in the United States, but I moved to Taiwan when I was seventeen, and that's where I received my undergraduate degree. I know firsthand how hard it is to be an international student-- when I first started college, I struggled to write a single page in Chinese! Thankfully I was able to improve, and I now consider myself fluent. I enjoy working with clients and helping them express themselves effectively in English, and I am always excited when I can help clients achieve their goals!
I am now a Ph.D. student in New York City, and my research focuses on criminology and criminal ethnography-- specifically, I research organized crime. When I'm not working or studying, I love to knit and bake, and I have two dogs and a cat.
